
Peggy has been active in her community for decades, as co-chair of the popular Pumpkin Bowl for 8 years, she helped to raise over $250,000 for local charities and the Denver Children’s Hospital Burn Center.
She has also worked to support her fellow community members, by readily pitching in to help fundraise for events which support families and individuals touched by illness and tragedy because she firmly believes that it’s important to help all community members, if we want to keep our entire community whole.
Since 1997, Peggy has been engaged in her local government. First, as a member of the Silverthorne Town Planning Commission, and then in 2001 she was appointed to fill a vacated Silverthorne Town Council seat. She was officially elected to the position in 2002, and re-elected in 2006. She currently serves as Mayor Pro-Tem, a council position in which her peers appointed her to.
She has been appointed by Town Council to participate on the following committees:
· The Lower Blue Planning Commission TDR committee
· Town of Silverthorne Personnel Committee
· Summit Combined Housing Authority
· EDAC (Economic Development Advisory Committee)

Peggy has completed the Colorado Municipal League (CML) requirements for the Certified Elected Official training program. She has also attended the Rocky Mountain Land Use Conference for the past 6 years to educate herself on important issues that effect Colorado as a whole and us locally, such as affordable housing, renewable energy, transportation and sustainable communities. As a current member of Club20, Peggy regularly attends meetings to discuss legislative action that effect the western slope of Colorado, including water, transportation, health care, education and forest land mitigation issues.
